Deep tissue massage could be the release for your tension...
The fast pace of modern life and all that goes with it can include:
Any of these sound familiar? If so you may need to check out what causes your stress and tension - what are the triggers? How can you resolve them to prevent overload/wake up call?
Stress areas:
Every area of your body can feel stress the most common being........ back, neck, face, scalp, shoulders, arms, wrists, hands, chest muscles, 'tummy' areas, buttocks and hips
Abdominal massage may help with bowel problems and get things moving again or calm the system down the natural way.
I regularly have massages and carry out all the treatments listed below. I've left my personal feedback for you......
Deep Tissue Massage/Remedial Massage
This type of massage certainly sorted out my tight knotty upper back and shoulders. Firmer moves using more pressure combined with stretches and mobility work did the trick and helped me as a cyclist, jogger, part time horse rider and skiier. It also helped me to to re-gain energy and vitality. 'Hands Off' Massage can be combined with other techniques too and I felt as though this was a 'seamless' massage with flowing movements which were quite firm as the fleshy part of the forearm is used. It delivered a slower, powerful and dynamic massage.
Acupressure Massage (the 'quick fix' in 30 mins) NO needles!
I tried this when I was a secretary and found the effects to be almost immediate. My upper body was so stiff but after my pressure points had been worked my movement was so improved - certainly recommended for office workers
Massage has been recorded as early as 2000BC for relaxation, promotion and restoration of health and what was good then still seems to hold true for many people today.
