Melanie has been involved in the health & fitness industry for twenty years as a fitness instructor, working with Doctors in a GP Exercise Referral Scheme & Cardiac Rehabilitation Phase IV delivering physical exercise & nutritional advice.  She holds a degree in Health Studies & continues with Complementary Therapy CPD yearly.

She became interested in complementary therapies to help with her own aches & pains and therefore has knowledge of the therapies both as a client & practitioner.

She trained at Cirencester's Cotswold Academy of Health & Beauty achieving ITEC credits in Anatomy & Physiology, Holistic Massage and Reflexology and also trained in Deep Tissue Massage with Cotswold.

Having worked as a secretary/PA in a large organisation she realised the necessity of facilitating seated chair massage in the workplace in order to assist with staff wellbeing and went on to train with The Academy of On Site Massage in Reading.  She is now successfully delivering massage in the workplace.

Melanie's other area of interest is pregnancy massage and pilates for pregnancy.  All these treatments can be beneficial to both mum and baby.  Receiving regular massages and exercising correctly during pregnancy can help to reduce aches, pains and stress and also aid relaxation and sleep.  It can also help mum to cope better with labour. Melanie will also be offering massage in labour after training with Suzanne Yates at 'Well Mother'.  For more information on massage please visit www.wellmother.org

She is qualified & fully insured with The Complementary Therapy Association to carry out all the treatments listed.

If you have any questions please contact Melanie to discuss.

If she cannot assist you fully she is happy to refer you to another therapist.
